Have you ever got that feeling that you were exactly in the right place at the right time after taking an image? Well this is one of those images that made me feel that way.
It's not often that I get to visit this place in the outskirts of General Santos down south (way down south). I get to go home every few months, but on one of those trips everything just fell perfectly into place: low tide synchronized with sunrise, the sun's position was just right for the POV I envisioned, willing friends to accompany me there, and Mother Nature's decision to show us some extreme colors that morning.
Few realize the challenges of outdoor photography and what's involved: the planning and research, expenses, the physical rigors and the presence of mind to still compose and shoot after a long trek, skills and equipment, and the discipline to drag yourself out of bed at an ungodly hour. But when you hit pay dirt, the feeling is simply sublime.
