About Me

My photo
This blog is an amateur photographer's attempt to show how beautiful the world really is. He is drawn to the colors of nature like a moth to a candle light. What are showcased here are nature's grand display of colors at sunrise and sunset, beautiful beaches and off-the-beaten track locations in his beloved Philippines, waterfalls and some of nature's great sculptures, architectural gems, and other views from around SE Asia that he was fortunate to see at one point.

mt. romelo: buruwisan and lansones addiction

Buruwisan Reflections

Call it "addiction" or "passion". I went back to Romelo after being there just two weeks before. Our Pulag trek was cancelled due to the weather but some of my friends and I decided not to let this weekend pass by without a trek somewhere.

It has been raining so the weather is much more suitable for shooting waterfalls, and the only place I could think of that is near Manila and has a number of easily accessible waterfalls is Mt. Romelo.

We started to trek at around 5:00 in the morning. Trail was muddier than the last time I was there (with another group), no thanks to the horses trudging up and down the trails to ferry just about anything.

Here are some of my shots during that weekend:

haha, at hndi tlaga natiis ang kati ng paa. sayang naman sir yung Pulag climb.

actually hinde naman sayang, yung mga umakyat inulan sa campsite and nobody was able to summit. It was a wise decision on our part to cancel our trip. otherwise mas sayang kung nandun ka at hinde naman makapagshoot or maka akyat sa summit :)
