Have you ever experienced something bad only later to realize it actually led to something good?
Only a few hours earlier I was sweating buckets in a bus station. Its the first weekend of 2014 and tomorrow school/work resumes. Everyone's on their way back to somewhere, including me. I have a flight to catch back to Manila and there was a horrendous queue with only a few buses around. With the rate the line advances I won't be able to make my flight. I should have come to the bus station earlier than usual!
I had to call in a favor and fortunately one good soul decided to cut short his Sunday afternoon nap to drive me to the airport. I usually just take the public transport and never bothered to bother someone to drive me there, but it was a desperate time.
I thought my weekend will end in a sour note, but then a thing wonderful happened. As we passed through a pineapple field I noticed Mt Matutum, my province's iconic peak, was beautifully lighted by the late afternoon sun. In the past I would just take photos with my cellphone camera as more often than not I'm on a bus when I pass through this area. But this time I had the opportunity!
So we stopped for a while, I took some shots, took some more, and headed on to the airport with plenty of time to spare (to process the shots, post to Flickr and Facebook page, and create this blog entry). I'm now waiting to board the plane, which is late! But I don't care, I got some shots I wanted to take for quite sometime now.
