The swamp in Candaba is popular for the flocks of migratory birds that made the place their breeding grounds. Some even chose to stay there for good :).
If you don't have the right equipment for birding, Candaba also offers scenic landscapes . You have a great view of the sunset and Mt. Arayat offers a great background.
As twilight falls, it gets harder and harder to leave the place knowing that it has more to offer as each minute passes.
The 7 km (night) trek to Candaba town proper is certainly worth it - if this is what you'll see along the way.
